What we're looking for
Keakie is looking for an experienced artistic director to lead our design team. Design is at the heart of everything we do at Keakie and the Design Team has been leading the way for the last 3 years. We are a group of artists and designers that constantly re-imagine what is possible for our music streaming platform.
What you'll do
- Oversee and manage the design team on a daily basis, scheduling all meetings and briefs making sure all deadlines are met
- Mentor and manage new members of the team as they come onboard
- Work closely with the engineering team to help develop and maintain a consistent design system across all products
- Be the best in class when it comes to innovating our design system and how the Keakie brand comes across to the world
- Able to clearly and confidently present your work in front of both internal team members and artists / creators
- Being able to maintain and build upon Keakie’s brand aesthetic whilst staying true to the centre of music, culture and design
- Responsible for creating strong brand assets for individual shows that are distributed on Keakie’s platform
- Attend brainstorms and meetings to come up with original and creative ideas for new briefs and projects
- Create and design visual elements to elevate Keakie's presence both online and offline
- Able to work in a diverse team and as an individual meeting any given deadlines
- Able to follow internal processes with a strong attention to detail
- Develop & maintain a strong relationship with internal teams
What you'll need
- At least 3-4 years of experience managing and mentoring a team
- To be a true leader that is open and diverse in their thinking making sure that the team always comes first
- Strong planning and organising skills with the ability to juggle numerous tasks at once and deliver all effectively
- Extremely confident and familiar with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite
- Excellent knowledge of Figma
- Able to work across different mediums (illustration, motion graphics etc) is a bonus
- BA (Hons) in relevant disciplines (Graphic Design) or equivalent experience
- Be familiar with current design trends and to not be afraid to challenge them with their own ideas
- Good understanding of preparing artwork for print and web
- Good knowledge of advertising / campaigns
- Basic knowledge of code and backend development
